Essex Farm, Essex New York

A few years ago, I read The Dirty Life by Kristen Kimball. I loved the book. She is a great writer—so I've actually read the book twice and may go for a third round. She and her husband Mark own a farm in Essex. The have a lovely history of love, risk and hard work. They now farm 600 acres—producing amazing produce for their community. I am a fan. Called a month ago or so to see if we could drop by. They have organized tours, but we really wanted to visit low key and off season. They were so welcoming and lovely. 

This is such a genuine and lovely entity.
