Nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, Stowell Farm unfurls. The orchard is filled with apple trees and is a small nursery of fruit trees. My herbs flourish and we had a vegetable garden. You can walk to the river from here…the Garland Bridge and the New Haven River. Walking up toward Potato Mountain, the slopes are steep but the waters flow. The woods are filled with mushrooms…and the skies are wild. In the night, the stars are vast.

Over the years, we’ll build … “things” at the top of the land—the meadows. :) We’ll create a veggie garden and plant trees. We’ll make a he-shed and a she-shed…and duck coop and a chicken coop. A small hoop house. A place to dip into the water. We’ll just keep creating.

And then there is my claw-foot tub—which we’ve hauled around. First, it’ll be a field soaking tub…and I hope to bathe there with herbs, blooms and weeds. One day, we may move into a house.

Each day is an offering, an opening, a change and a possibility.
