I never drank milk—or at least had stopped right before my teenage years. When I tasted the Von Trapp milk, everything changed. Memories: childhood rumps up Hell's Peak Road for a bucket of fresh milk from the Hazelton farm. The mile walk back with a heavy load. This was milk. THIS IS MILK—the way it should be.
Wow. I am so grateful. So many years of working with the finest herbalists (Jovial, Guido). Now taking a year-long course with Sandra Lory for my first true certificate—and next year beginning a two-year program with the Vermont Center of Integrated Herbalism. I can't say enough—but will one day...in my own way. There is such honor in being respectful of and connected to the earth—and what's all around and about it. It's all such a big idea.

I walk by this half the year...or drive. It's truly lovely. One day, we'll have a functional barn too! This is one point on which Seth and I disagree. He wants to take the old boy down (our 1800's some-odd beauty) and replace it with something more functional. I want to restore. I love our old barn: it holds so much history...and now is home our flocks and herd. It's not matter—we can't do anything with it now but patch and fix and support.
My mother and step dad visited. Lovely weekend. Windy! Good love, good food, good outdoors, good fun.

The Vermont Sheep Breeders’ Association is a non-profit agricultural membership organization and has been in existence for over 100 years. We are incorporated in the State of Vermont, have a Board of Directors and a written set of by-laws. In addition to soliciting our membership on an annual basis for dues to sustain our administrative services and publications, we write for grants to support our programs.
As a volunteer organization, we could do nothing without the good will, ideas and help of our membership.
